Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Pub. L. 111-5, February 17, 2009) (“ARRA”), Pitkin County, Colorado will receive $3,531,000.00 in federal stimulus funds. These funds will be used to rehabilitate and improve a portion of the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport’s general aviation aircraft parking ramp. The total estimated cost of this project, including locally funded work is $3,810,742.50. Work will begin in May of 2009, and is expected to be complete by November 30, 2009.
