From Victorian bed & breakfasts, five star hotels, quaint mountain lodges, condominiums, and small motels, the town of Aspen has them.  What makes Aspen unique is that these lodging choices are located next to one another downtown and within walking distance of everything including the ski mountain, now known as Ajax.  Park once at you lodge and forget your car.  Okay, if six or seven blocks is too far for the outermost places, they have shuttles that will take you to the base of Aspen mountain or anywhere in town.  Thanks to the 1880 mining days, the miners lived close to work and their jobsite was the inside of Aspen Mountain.  They left us a legacy and a beautifully restored town. Note:  Most hotels and property management companies have airport courtesy shuttles for incoming and outgoing flights.
