Public encouraged to participate in ASE Terminal Design Survey
Results will determine final conceptual design layout

PITKIN COUNTY, COLO. (December 23, 2025) – Pitkin County is inviting residents and stakeholders to play a direct role in shaping the final design of the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport terminal, marking a key step in the airport’s modernization project.

Through months of public outreach and informed by the Common Ground Recommendations, two refined concepts have been identified. The survey asks participants to deliberate between the final conceptual design layout options, concept 2+ and 3+.

“I strongly encourage everyone to take the survey,” said Airport Director Diane Jackson. “We truly value community input and want to hear from as many people as possible.”

The community is invited to review the design graphics and comparison slides available through the survey link to make informed choices between the two refined concepts. Participants are encouraged to share feedback on the proposed terminal layout, options for the ground transportation center and parking, and the overall look and feel of the airport terminal design that reflects the Roaring Fork Valley’s values and culture.

Community input from the survey will determine the final concept before advancing into the schematic design phase, which will introduce more precise layouts, including information on square footage considerations.

The terminal design survey is now available and will remain open through January 4, 2026. Results will be summarized and shared publicly following its close.

Community members can learn about the modernization project, current planning efforts, additional information, and updates at aspenairport.com/modernization
