Traveler Tip

Parking lots can fill quickly during peak travel times. - Please note we have a 30 day limit for all parking sessions.

Parking at ASE (no reservations)

EFFECTIVE OCT. 1, 2026, a parking rate increase for both Bear Lot and Elk Lot will go into effect. The daily maximum for the short-term Bear Lot will increase to $28, and the daily maximum for the long-term Elk Lot will increase to $15. Hourly pricing will remain and will increase from $2 to $6 per hour in the Bear Lot and from $1 to $3 per hour in the Elk Lot. The first 30 minutes of parking will remain free in both the Bear and the Elk lots.

Please keep in mind that parking lots fill up quickly. We recommend using alternative forms of transportation, when possible. We do not offer parking reservations at this time. Please note we have a 30 day limit for all parking sessions.

ASE offers two convenient parking options for travelers:

  • Bear Lot – located just steps from the terminal entrance

  • Elk Lot (Economy) – a short walk from Baggage Claim

Ticketless Parking

When using our ticketless entry and exit system, please lower your bike or ski racks if they block your back license plate and remove any snow that could cover the information. This will help ensure a smooth parking process.

Aspen Airport parking uses Metropolis for fast, ticketless entry and exit using license plate recognition.

For the easiest experience, register your license plate and payment method in the Metropolis app—it takes less than a minute. Register here.

Not registered yet? No problem. Scan a QR code in the parking area to sign up on the spot. When you enter and exit, cameras automatically match your license plate to your account and process payment. You can also access your profile to view parking history and download receipts.

The parking systems at ASE are fully automated and once registered, payment is automatic.

Parking Rates

SURGE RATE: If parking for 2-12 hours, the rate in both lots is $6 PER HOUR up to a $40 MAX. After 12 hours, the rates return to the daily max and the $40 is no longer included. See details below. (EFFECTIVE OCT 1, 2026: The surge rate will be eliminated with the increased parking rates).

After 12 hours:

Bear Lot: $12 Daily Max

Elk Lot: $6 Daily Max

BEAR LOT

Located just steps from the terminal entrance.

· The first 30 minutes are free.
· The next 30 minutes at two dollars ($2).
· The next hour at two dollars ($2).
· Every hour from 2 hours to 12 hours will be six dollars ($6) per hour with a max of forty dollars ($40).
· After the twelve-hour time, the rate will be the daily rate of twelve dollars ($12).



ELK LOT

Located a short walk from the baggage claim.

· The first 30 minutes are free.
· The next 30 minutes at one dollar ($1).
· The next hour at one dollar ($1).
· Every hour from 2 hours to 12 hours will be six dollars ($6) per hour with a max of forty dollars ($40).
· After the twelve-hour time, the rate will be the daily rate of six dollars ($6).

How much does it cost to park?

The Bear Lot is $12 per day and the Elk Lot is $6 per day. If you are parking for less than 12 hours, see the rate signs above for a detailed breakdown.

Why am I not allowed to prepay for parking?

We are in the process of upgrading the parking system. This feature with other new options will be available soon.

Is there a shuttle service at ASE?

No. Both of our parking lots are located within walking distance to the terminal.
